WBIIDC to date, has set up 12 developed growth centres, and intiated the process for setting up a string of new Growth Centres in different locations to meet the steady demand for industrial land, while constantly working towards the expansion of the existing growth centres.
The existing growth centres are:

KALYANI (Nadia) - I, II, III.
RANINAGAR (Jalpaiguri)
DABGRAM (Jalpaiguri)
COOCH BEHAR (Cooch behar)
MALDA (Malda) - 1st phase
BISHNUPUR (Bankura)
KHARAGPUR (Midnapore)
HALDIA (Midnapore)
ULUBERIA (Howrah) 1st phase.
FALTA (South 24 Parganas) 1st phase.

Hindusthan Cocacola, IOC, Greaves Ltd, Phoenix Yule Ltd., TATA Davy, TISCO, Exide Industries Ltd, Bala Techno Synthetics Ltd, Alcoa ACC, Sri Vasavi Industries Ltd., Hindustan Lever Ltd., Ruchi Soya Industries, Madhya Pradesh Glychem and other are some major national and multinational companies that have made their presence felt at these growth centres. Two existing growth centers, Uluberia and Falta are currently in their expansion phase and at an advanced stage of implementation, while growth centres supported by the Government of India are coming up at a fast pace at Jalpaiguri, Bolpur and Malda (Malda Phase-I has already been developed). Durgapur, Haldia is also in pipeline.
