    Chandrayaan 3 Launch Date

    Previously ISRO made an attempt to get a successful Chandrayaan 2 but due to some technical glitch, the mission failed. Therefore ISRO scientists again attempt to get success by launching Chandrayaan 3.

    Recently ISRO Chairman S. Somnath made an official announcement that Chandrayaan 3 space mission launch date is expected on 12th July 2023. Everyone is excited about this mission not only from India but the World as well.

    Any Space Organisation’s mission is one of the essential factors is costing. All the costs is borne by the Indian Government. The cost of production, materials, testing equipment and more have made an estimated Rs 75 crore. But the overall total cost of the Chandrayaan 3 Mission is more than Rs.600 Cr.

    Chandrayaan 3 Launch Vehicle

    In the past month, continuous tests were conducted to gather precise information. News reports have revealed a collaborative mission with Japan, resulting in a successful moon landing. The mission employed the LVM 3 vehicle, consisting of a Lander, Rover, and Orbiter.

    Chandrayaan 3 Mission

    Chandrayaan-3 is a follow-on mission to Chandrayaan-2 to demonstrate end-to-end capability in safe landing and roving on the lunar surface. It consists of Lander and Rover configurations. It will be launched by LVM3 from SDSC SHAR, Sriharikota. The propulsion module will carry the lander and rover configuration till the 100 km lunar orbit. The propulsion module has Spectro-polarimetry of Habitable Planet Earth (SHAPE) payload to study the spectral and Polari metric measurements of Earth from the lunar orbit.

    Chandrayaan 3 Rover name is “Pragyan Rover”, To study the lunar laser ranges, an embedded payload known as the Passive Laser Retroreflector Array is utilized. ISRO scientists have dedicated their efforts to ensure meticulous data collection for this lunar research.
